Panasonic closing battery plant here

Home appliance maker Panasonic Manufacturing Philippines Corporation (PMPC) is shutting down its manganese battery manufacturing plant displacing 60 workers as new technology for alkaline batteries has replaced the obsolete technology of manganese batteries.
